Dangers of Varicose Veins
The majority of varicose veins are simply unsightly and not necessarily a health risk of any kind, however, there are some that can cause a health risk for some people. This does not mean that everyone will be affected; it is simply a guideline.
Ulcers can appear around the varicose vein which can be extremely painful. This results from a build up of fluid around the vein. Blood clots have also been known to be caused by varicose veins. If your leg begins to swell, you should contact your doctor immediately.
These are only a couple of the dangers of having varicose veins, but if you keep a close eye on the veins you should be able to stop these things from happening.
